NYI Students
North Arkansas NYI (Nazarene Youth International) is a collection of students, pastors, and adult sponsors from 60 Nazarene churches across North Arkansas. The North Arkansas NYI Council exists to equip and support those churches on our district. The Council is comprised of both elected and appointed officials that represent different age groups and regions from around our district.
In NYI, we focus on three core strategies of evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development. More commonly, we refer to these as “BE, DO, and GO.” These three strategies are at the very core of who we are. They are our message and mission, and create the fabric of Nazarene Youth International. Everything we do in NYI is colored by Be, Do, and Go. Everything we do should flow out of our focus on evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development.
Throughout the year we offer many district and field events to participate in that include but are not limited to: Kick Start, North Arkansas Church Camp at Camp Barnabas in Shell Knob, MO, Main Event, Extravaganza, Naz Nite at Six Flags, Teen Bible Quizzing, NYC (Nazarene Youth Conference) and many more! We would love to see you at some of these events! When it’s time to register, you can find those registration forms here. If you have any questions about these events ask your local NYI President, Student Sponsor or Student Pastor, or get in contact with our District NYI Council President, Peter Kline.
Many of our activities like Extravaganza, SHINE, College Days, etc. are hosted at our field university, Southern Nazarene University (SNU) located in Bethany, OK. These are great events to learn more about college and how SNU may be the right place for you! For more information on SNU, check out the link below!
